Mount Nares is a massive mountain located just south of Mount Albert Markham and overlooking the head of Flynn Glacier, in the Churchill Mountains.

Discovered by the British National Antarctic Expedition (1901-04) led by Scott, who named it for Sir George S. Nares, captain of an Arctic expedition in 1875-76, and a member of the Ship Committee for Scott's expedition.
