Rajesh Mirchandani is a Washington correspondent for BBC News. He can regularly be seen fronting reports from the US on the BBC's domestic rolling news channel BBC News, BBC World News, BBC One National Bulletins and on BBC Radio. He also periodically presents BBC World News America, from Washington D.C. He could more recently be seen reporting from Hollywood on the 2008 Oscars with Susanna Reid a few days before the event itself. Mirchandani was educated at the University of Bristol.

Mirchandani moved from his previous position of Midlands correspondent to Washington in late 2007, after presenting some relief shifts on BBC News earlier in the year, and was one of a group of reporters who travelled the country for the trial run of the BBC One programme The One Show in August 2006.
