- Ignacio Bernal
Ignacio Bernal (February 13, 1910 in
Paris - November 24, 1992 inMexico City ) was an eminentMexican anthropologist andarchaeologist .Bernal excavated much of
Monte Albán , originally starting as a student ofAlfonso Caso , and later led major archeological projects atTeotihuacan . In 1965 he excavatedDainzú . He was awarded the Premio Nacional in 1969. He was a founding member of theThird World Academy of Sciences in 1983.Books
