Roger Lee Hayden (born
May 30 ,1983 ), aka Countryboy, is an American professional motorcycle racer and is the younger brother of Tommy andNicky Hayden .Biography
Hayden was born and raised in
Owensboro, Kentucky , where he still lives today. His two older brothers Nicky and Tommy are also professional motorcycle racers. His father, Earl Hayden, was a dirt track racer for twenty years and his mother Rose raced in thePowder Puff class for five years. He also has two sisters, Jenny and Kathleen. Hayden began riding at the age of five and entered his first race when he was six. He likes to watch football,basketball , andNASCAR . Hayden lists his hobbies as motocross, flat track, hunting, and fishing. His heroes areKenny Roberts ,Freddie Spencer ,Ronnie Jones , andMichael Jordan .Racing History
Roger took home the 2007 AMA Supersport Championship on September 16, 2007 at Mazda Raceway Laguna Seca.
Hayden won the Dirt Track Horizon Award in 1998 and won his first race at
Barber Motorsports Park in 2004. He placed second in the AMA 600 Supersport class to his brother Tommy in 2004 and 2005.At the 2007
United States motorcycle Grand Prix , Hayden made his series debut riding a factory Kawasaki Ninja ZX-RR as a wild card entry, and finished a respectable tenth, the highest placing American in the race. His brother Nicky failed to finish after John Hopkins ran into him in the second corner of the first lap.External links
