high school for students years 7 to 12 located in Balgowlah,New South Wales ,Australia . It is a part of theNorthern Beaches Secondary College , a 5 campus college acrossSydney 'sNorthern Beaches , formed in 2003.Balgowlah Boys Campus has been in operation since 1954, under the name of 'Balgowlah Boys High School' prior to joining the college. It is generally considered to be sister-school to
Mackellar Girls Campus , another school within the college. In the Australian academic (and calendar) year 2007, there are around 550 students in attendance at the school, with around 50-60 teachers across all departments. The school has a great SRC Committee which includes students from years 7 - 12 all the members of this committee are voted in by the students for the students. At this current time the teacher adviser for this committee is Miss.Philips.
The school has also set up a new environmental committee which again gets many of the students involved who volunteer. A environmental audit was recently carried out and the students and teachers discussed ways to reduce their school's environmental footprint.
The students also have the opportunity to go to a school dance with students from
Mackellar Girls Campus , usually held twice a year, in the first semester. Students from both schools find this event very enjoyable and highly popular. The P&C usually meets on the second Tuesday of the month during term. Meetings are held at the school at 7:30pm promptly.
