Sree Narayana Guru College popularly known as SNGC is one of the prominent colleges coimbatore, Tamil Nadu State bringing out rank holders every year in life sciences and other socially important courses. The college was started by "Sree Narayana mission" coimbatore, which is the leading organization Tamil Nadu State to propagate messages of Sage and Saint His Holiness Sree Narayana Guru.

In 1984, The Government of India granted permission to start a self-financing polytechnic to the Trust. Thus Sree Narayana Guru Polytechnic (SNGPC) was born. Recently, the Government of Tamil Nadu has classified it as one of the best-run self-financing institutes in Tamil Nadu.The courses offered by SNGPC are Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Automobile Engineering. With the confidence gained by running the Polytechnic successfully, the Trust members came forward with a plan to start a College for Applied Science, Social Science and Management studies at coimbatore with a view to import quality education to the aspiring and job seeking youths.With the confidence gained by running the polytechnic successfully, the Sree Narayana Guru Educational Trust members came forward with a plan to start a college for Applied Sciences and Management Studies, with a view of imparting quality education for the aspiring youth of Coimbatore. Sree Narayana Guru College (SNGC) came into existence in 1994, with affiliated to Bharathiyar University and approved by Govt.of Tamilnadu.

Both these institutions are ISO 9000 2000 Certified.
