Caterina Ginnasi (1590 –
30 November ,1660 ) was an Italian painter of theBaroque period, active mainly inRome . She was the pupil of the painterGiovanni Lanfranco . In Rome, she painted altarpieces for the church ofSanta Lucia . She was the niece of the patron and builder of the church, Cardinal Ginnasi. She would have been a contemporary ofGiovanna Garzoni .References
