Malaika Parekh

Malaika Parekh (August 23, 1980, Bombay, Maharashtra, India) is married to Zayed Khan. Her sister-in-law, Suzanne Khan, is married to Indian actor Hrithik Roshan.

Malaika was born in Bombay and lived close by to Zayed in Juhu Scheme. They met however, when they were both High School students at Kodaikanal International School.

Her mother, Chris Parekh is English. Malaika is trained in the gems and jewellery business as her late father Rohit, a diamond merchant, was in the same trade.

She has a twin brother Raoul Parekh, a graduate in business studies from Boston College. Malaika also has a brother Naren Patel, who is the CEO of Primesight Ltd. UK. Malaika's sister, Dr. Amanda Patel, is a senior research scientist at the CNRS institute in France. She also has a brother Viren Patel who owns a staffing agency, Ace Staffing and lives in Orlando, FL with his wife, Prity Patel.

In September 2007, Malaika Parekh and Zayed Khan announced that they were expecting their first child. To everyone's joy the couple were blessed with a beautiful baby boy on January 18, 2008.
