Ward is a small town in Marlborough, New Zealand. It is located on State Highway 1, 20 kilometres south of Seddon. Kaikoura is 82 km to the southwest. The Flaxbourne River flows past to the north and into the Pacific Ocean to the south-east of Ward. History

Flaxbourne Station was established in the area around 1847. Ward School is a coeducational full primary (years 1-8) school with a decile rating of 6 and a roll of 58.
