Kodava moplah (Kodagu Mappila)

The Kodava Mappila (or Kodava Moplah) are a Muslim community of Kodagu, India. They are believed to have converted to Islam after the conquest of Kodagu by Tipu Sultan. Many of them retain their Kodava family or clan names.

The name Mappila is used in the region to refer to Muslim communities, especially along the Malabar coast.
