- NSB Puls
NSB Puls was a
brand name created byNorges Statsbaner (NSB) for theircommuter train service in Norway. The brand was applied to the then 36 brand new BM 72electric multiple units delivered to NSB. Puls trains were painted green and silver, but the brand name was only in use for a few years from 2002.Background
When NSB ordered a massive amound of new rolling stock in the mid 1990s, replacing their old
locomotive and car trains withmultiple units , they created three distinct brands for their service; the green Puls was the brand for local trains, the red Agenda for the regional trains and the blue Signatur for the express trains. The new commuter trains were delivered slightly after the regional, airport express and express train units, and by then the branding idea was on its way out. Among other things, the existing BM 69 units were painted the red and green colors of the Agenda trains, as did the local trains on
Trønderbanen .ervice
The Puls trains were put into service on the commuter trains around Stavanger,
Jærbanen , as well as selected routes aroundOslo , including the services Moss - Spikkestad and Kongsberg - Eidsvoll.
