Raj Bhavan, Chennai

Raj Bhavan is the official residence of the Governor of Tamil Nadu. It is a sprawling campus with one of its boundaries with the Guindy Children's Park. The Raj Bhavan is located in the heart of the city. The airport is a 15 minute drive and the Central railway station is a 45 minute drive from it.

Raj Bhavan, Guindy, is situated in the Guindy Park Reserved Forest Area. The black buck, a rare species now almost extinct, was introduced in Guindy Park by Lord Willingdon in 1924. The present area of the Raj Bhavan Estate is 156.14 acres after large areas of land adjoining Raj Bhavan were made over for other public purposes.
