Hold'em for Hunger is a charity
poker tournament held annually by the UNC chapter ofNourish International , a non-profit organization based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina. Proceeds from the tournament help to fund Nourish International's sustainable development projects around the world, such as the founding of a development facility for the Universal Nut Sheller in partnership with theFull Belly Project .In 2007, Hold'em For Hunger garnered nearly 500 players, making it the largest charity poker tournament on the East Coast.
