binomial_authority = Matschie, 1893The Zanzibar Bushbaby ("Galago zanzibaricus") is a
primate of theGalagidae family. An adult typically weighs 100–300gram s and is 34–39.5centimetre s long (3.5–10.5 oz, 13.5–15.5 in). Like otherspecies ofgalago s, their diet consists mainly offruit .For a time, this species and
Prince Demidoff's Galago were removed from the genus "Galago" and placed into the new genus "Galagoides". Recent work in molecular systemics have shown that this removal was erroneous, the two species have been returned to the "Galago" genus, and "Galagoides" made defunct. There are two
subspecies of this bushbaby:
*"Galago zanzibaricus zanzibaricus"
*"Galago zanzibaricus cocos"References
