The 1990 Italian Grand Prix was a
Formula One race held on9 September 1990 at Monza.Ayrton Senna scored aGrand Chelem to extend his lead in the championship. WithAlain Prost second andGerhard Berger third, the podium was identical to that at the previous round.Near the end of the first lap,
Derek Warwick demolished his Lotus at the Parabolica, hitting the guard rail at an estimated 140 mph. The race was stopped on the 2nd lap and restarted over the original distance. Warwick, miraculously unhurt, ran back to the pits, jumped into the spare car and took the restart with the rest of the field.Classification
