- Milton Keynes and Border Counties Youth Football League
The main competition run by the league, is the league itself, where teams compete in divisions against teams of their age. The number of divisions in each age group averages to four, while the amount of teams in a division is roughly from 9-12. Teams play each other twice both home and away to compete for points: Win = 2 points, Draw = 1 point and Loss = 0 points. At the end of the playing season, when all teams have played each other twice, the team with the most points in each division are declared winners of that division, while the winners of division one of their age group are declared champions of their age group.
All teams will then stay in that division for the next playing season (albeit moving up age groups) except for the top two teams of each division (except top divisions) being promoted up to the next division. The two bottom teams of each division (except bottom divisions) will be relegated down to the next division for the next playing season. This applies for all age groups except under 11's and under 12's, who have to play in a grading competition prior to league games to determine what division they play in for that season, despite where they finished last season.
;League CupThis competition is run at the same time as the league competition, except on a knockout basis, where if a team loses, they are out of the cup altogether until next season, while wins ensure teams progress to the next round. Draws ensure that the match is relplayed until a winner is decided. This happens until only one team is left, who is declared the winner of the league cup for that age group.
;County CupThis is a cup which runs exactly the same as the league cup, except for the fact that it incorporates the Berkshire and Buckinghamshire Football Association (to which the Milton Keynes and Border Counties Youth Football League is affiliated to), the Bedfordshire Football Association and the Northamptonshire Football Association.
;Fair PlayThis is the only competition based not on the wins or losses of a team, but on its attitude to behaviour and sportsmanship of the team. Points are collected in four areas: Behaviour and sportsmanship of players, behaviour and sportsmanship of Club officials, behaviour and sportsmanship Club spectators and administration (Home club only). Marks are given out of 25 for each section, and the team with the highest points at the end of the playing season is declared the winner of that age group.
Representative Teams
The league enters a team from every age group into the East Anglia Youth Inter-League Cup Competition. The players then not only play for their club side, but also Milton Keynes. The players are made up of mainly division one side players, yet it is not uncommon to find division two players in the squad.
