While imdb.com cites Spitalny's place of birth as Odessa, Ukraine, he was actually born in a Ukrainian town called Tetiev Fact|date=June 2008. He is buried in the Tetiever section of Ridge Road Cemetery #2 in a western suburb of Cleveland, Ohio with other members of his family.
