- Ferdinand Lundberg
Ferdinand Lundberg (1905-1995) was a 20th century
economist andjournalist who studied the history of Americanwealth and power. He was the author of a 1937biography ofWilliam Randolph Hearst entitled "Imperial Hearst " and of an exploration of American wealth entitled "The Rich and the Super-Rich ". He co-wrote, withCarol Bram , a strong critique of the US charter called "Cracks in the constitution ".He held several positions in his life time: a journalist with
United Press International , theChicago Daily News , and theNew York Herald Tribune (1927-1934); adjunct professor (social philosophy) atNew York University (1952-1958); andeditor for the Twentieth Century Fund.
