Xuanwu District (zh-stp|s=宣武区|t=宣武區|p=Xuānwǔ Qū) is a district of the municipality of Beijing. It lies to the southwest of the old city.

The district is 16.5 km² in size and is home to 526,132 residents (2000 Census), making it the third-largest district in the old city part of Beijing. The district is located outside the "Imperial Inner City" and was predominantly reserved for the lower class.
