Snow Valley Ski Club is a ski area located inside Edmonton, Alberta just off the Whitemud Freeway. The resort functions as a not-for-profit organization. The slope caters primary to beginner skiers and snowboarders, with only 15% of the area designated as advanced.

It has one triple chairlift, one T-bar and two magic carpets. Snow Valley also has a variety of features and man made jumps in their beginner and advanced terrain parks.

History

It was opened in 1961 by members of the "Eskimo Ski Club". The lodge was built in 1972. The first T-bar was put in place in 1981, replacing the old handle tows. [Cite web| url= http://www.snowvalley.ab.ca/association.aspx?p=history | title= History| author= Snow Valley | accessdate= 2007-06-05] The chairlift was installed in 1988, when the resort saw an expansion, complete with new snow-making equipment.

A new 17,800 square foot lodge was constructed in 2001, replacing the old lodge and maintenance buildings.

In 2008 Snow Valley will open a first of its kind 'pulse' quad chair. This chair will replace the existing t-bar and open up more skiiable terrain.
