Kongens Lyngby (shortforms Kgs. Lyngby or Lyngby) is the main city in the affluent municipality of
Lyngby-Taarbæk , just north ofCopenhagen ,Denmark in the northern part of the island ofZealand (Danish, "Sjælland"), Denmark's largest island. The city consists of two districts, Lyngby (east ofLyngby station ) and Ulrikkenborg (west of the station). The municipality has a population of 51,611 (as ofJanuary 1 ,2005 ).Among other things the city is home to the
