Kuldeep Kumar

Kuldeep Kumar is the present Industry minister of Himachal Pradesh. He is the son of Badri Dass Dhiman. He was born at Majhin, District Kangra on 12 April, 1950. He is a graduate. He was educated at DAV College, Hoshiarpur. He got married to Shashi Bala on 5 May, 1974. He was born in a family of Congressmen. He remained Joint Secretary of the following organisations-
* D.C.C. Kangra, from 1984 to 1990
* D.C.C. Una, from 1990 to 1992. He was the member of D.C.C. Una, since 1992. He got elected to State Assembly first in 1993 and got re-elected in 1998 and 2003. He has remained the Deputy Speaker from 16 December, 1993 to 17 October ,1995. He was inducted into Council of Ministers as Minister of State for Co-operation (with Independent Charge) and Higher Education on October 18, 1995 and remained at the post up to 24 December, 1997.
He was the Minister for Co-operation (at Cabinet Rank) from March 6, 2003 and redesignated as Industries Minister on August 8, 2004 along with the portfolio of Co-operation Department.
