- Incheon Bridge
The Incheon Bridge is a bridge currently under construction with a cable stayed section and which will be the second connection between
Yeongjong Island andIncheon inSouth Korea . It is due to open in2009 . The bridge will be convert|18.2|km|mi|1|lk=on long, of which the most difficult part will be the cable-stayed bridge portion over the main sea route to Incheon port, with a main tower convert|230.5|m|ft|1|lk=on high, vertical clearance of convert|74|m|ft|0|abbr=on, and five spans: a centre span of convert|800|m|ft|0|abbr=on flanked on either side by spans of convert|260|m|ft|0|abbr=on and convert|80|m|ft|0|abbr=on. The bridge is expected to cost over $2.5 billion.The sea crossing bridge section, whose concessionaire is Incheon Bridge Corporation, is funded by the private sector.
