Plot introduction
Nick Stone's bosses get wind of an act of terror that will dwarf even the nightmare of 9/11. When Stone is despatched to Malaysia by the CIA to assassinate a biochemist, he expects his mission to be straightforward. But there are complications, not least because he is working alongside an attractive woman whose motives he doesn't fully understand.
After completing a job on behalf of the CIA Nick stone returns to a world of personal problems when he finds that the 14 year old girl Kelly with whom he is joint guardian is under drug and traumatic stress. In the realization of all this Nick decides to take her to England to recuperate from her stress. However his time with Kelly is interrupted when he is called back in to help resolve a terrorist plot and in the wake of this stone comes to realise that this recuperation trip could have deadly consequences for him and Kelly
