- AMusA
The AMusA or Associate diploma in Music, Australia is a diploma awarded to outstanding musical candidates by the
Australian Music Examinations Board . The AMusA, also called AMus, is considered a prestigious award, ranking above the grades available, but below the Licentiate diploma (LMusA). Australian musicians consider the AMus to be at a level of performance standard equivalent to or greater than undergraduate performance practice in a dedicated conservatoire. For candidates in performance, a prerequisite pass in 5th grade musicianship or musical theory is needed for the award. The AMusA is awarded in these performance categories:* Piano

The youngest recipient of the AMusA is Kevin Pham, who was awarded his AMusA at the age of 11 in Year 5 for piano. He now goes to senior school at Trinity Grammar School, in Sydney.
