Muhammad Natsir was born on
July 17 ,1908 on Alahan Panjang,West Sumatra ,Indonesia . His father as aDutch Indies government employee and the grandfather as ulama in his hometown. His parents was descended from Maninjau, part ofMinangkabau ethnic group.At an early age, Natsir was received two education system. Western system in HIS
Solok andIslamic system at his secondary education in Pesantren that lead by Haji Rasul followers. On 1923, Natsir received the scholarship from MULO,Padang , and completed his formal education in AMS,Bandung . In Bandung, Natsir learned of Islam to Ahmad Hassan and joined to Persatuan Islam.
