Wilhelm Wulff

Wilhelm Theodor H. Wulff, born March 27, 1893 in Hamburg [According to [http://www.astrologix.de/forum/ForumID7/702.html a German astrology webforum] ] , was a German astrologer.

In The Occult Roots of Nazism (the seminal work on Nazi occultism), he is mentioned marginally twice. As an "astrologer whom Heinrich Himmler consulted in the last weeks of the Second World War" (p. 165), and as a "recognized occultist" whose collaboration in an occult working group was announced by "Herbert Reichenstein" in 1925 (p. 168).

According to Wulf's own account, he was forced by the SS into working for the Ahnenerbe in order "to harness not only natural, but also supernatural forces." The Ahnenerbe project also employed spitiualists, mediums, sensitives, dowsers, students of Tattva, ballistic experts, mathematicians, and other astronomers.

After World War II Wulff wrote the book "Zodiac and Swastika".

Before World War I Wulff was an art student and discovered astrological literature in Italy while doing research on Leonardo DaVinci's drawings.

He worked as a sculptor and astrologist in Hamburg and through some of his clients he came to know Kersten, who was Himmler's private masseur and friend.

It was Kersten whom put Wulff in touch with high ranking SS dignitaries, such as Nebe, Schellenberg and eventually Himmler.

After Rudolf Hess's flight to Scotland and arrest (Hess was an occultist and fascinated by Astrology, as well as having many astrologer friends) the Gestapo arrested all known active astrologers as they believed his circle had influenced him and possibly conspired against him. Wulff was one of those arrested and spend four months in a concentration camp. Later he was coerced to join one of the many research institutes of the army.
