Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship

The Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship is a Gaelic football competition for clubs in Westmeath, Ireland.

Introduction

The Westmeath Intermediate Football Championship is the second tier of club football competition in Westmeath GAA, as the top club is promoted to the Westmeath Senior Football Championship, while the bottom club is relegated to the Westmeath Junior Football Championship. In addition to gaining promotion, the winning club will represent Westmeath in the Leinster Intermediate Club Football Championship, with the possibility of qualifying for the All-Ireland Intermediate Club Football Championship.

2007

The 2007 champions were Ballinagore, who had been promoted for 2006 after winning the Westmeath Junior championship (and subsequently the Leinster Junior Club Football Championship. They went on to reach the 2007 Leinster Intermediate semi-final, but were beaten 1-8 to 0-10 by Kildare GAA intermediate champions Suncroft, thanks to an injury-time point.
