Berhad (TNB, myx|5347) is the largest electricity utility company inMalaysia and also the largest power company in Southeast Asia with RM65 billion worth of assets serving over six million customers throughout Peninsular Malaysia and the eastern state of Sabah. TNB's core activities are in the generation, transmission and distribution of electricity. TNB was formed in 1990 by the Electricity Supply Successor Company Act 1990, as the successor of the National Electricity Board of the States of Malaya ("Lembaga Letrik Negara Tanah Melayu").

Currently, the TNB Group has a complete power supply system, including the National Grid which is energised at 132, 275 and 500 kV, with its tallest electricity pylon in Malaysia and Southeast Asia being the
Kerinchi Pylon located nearMenara Telekom ,Kerinchi ,Kuala Lumpur . The National Grid is linked via 132 kV HVAC and 300 kV HVDC interconnection to Thailand and 230 kV cables to Singapore. A 5-digit common toll-free number (1-5454) facilitates fault reporting and service requests to the CMCs.TNB, through its subsidiaries, is also involved in the manufacturing of transformer, high voltage switchgears and cables the provider of professional consultancy services, architectural, civil and electrical engineering works and services, repair and maintenance services and fuel undertakes research and development, property development, and project management services. Sungai Perak hydroelectric scheme, with 1,249 MW installed capacity:
*Pergau Dam - 4 x 150 MW = 600 MW.
*Temenggor Dam - 4 x 87 MW = 348 MW.
*Bersia Dam - 3 x 24 MW = 72 MW.
*Kenering Dam - 3 x 40 MW = 120 MW.
*Sungai Piah Upper Dam - 2 x 7.3 MW = 14.6 MW.
*Sungai Piah Lower Dam - 2 x 27 MW = 54 MW
*Chenderoh Dam (oldest power station)- 4 x 10.7 MW + 1 x 8.4 MW = 40.5 MW.Terengganu hydroelectric scheme, with 400 MW installed capacity:
