BBC Wales

Mohammad joined BBC Wales in 1997 as a reporter, initially in North Wales for "BBC Wales Today".

Mohammad's love of sports meant he presented items from Wales and overseas, including the Commonwealth Games, the Ryder Cup and numerous FA Cup finals. He is also anchor for "Wales on Saturday", BBC Wales' television sports results programme, and presents the BBC Wales Sports Personality of the Year Award.

Mohammad is now a main presenter for "BBC Wales Today", can often be heard presenting on BBC Radio Wales, and, as a fluent Welsh language speaker, makes regular appearances on BBC Radio Cymru.

He has presented "Children in Need", and has even made guest appearances on the 2005 and 2007 Christmas episodes of "Doctor Who".

Radio

Mohammad built up a regular following on Saturday evenings on BBC Radio Wales with the "Extra Time" sports phone-in. Mohammad and Owen Money took calls from football and rugby fans at 18:00, but have now been replaced by BBC Radio Five Live's 6-0-6. However, Mohammad and Money now team up on the "Extra Time Quiz," a spin-off from the phone-in. BBC Sport & Resignation

In February 2008, Mohammad took over from veteran BBC Wales Bob Humphrys as leader presenter for sports. However, on July 23 just 16 days before he was due to attend the 2008 Summer Olympics to present BBC Wales's coverage from the games, he resigned form BBC Wales to become an independent presenter.

Jason announced on 29 August, that that was his last day on Wales Today, but he will continue his roles on television and radio for BBC Wales in sport at present.
