Relict hominid

Relict hominid

Relict hominids are ancient forms of humans that are believed still to exist in isolated parts of the world. The study of relict hominids is a form of cryptozoology.

Many cultures share similar legends of ape-like or small humanoid beings: the yeti, the yowie, Bigfoot, and so forth. Some researchers believe these are relict hominids.
