Stuffed peppers is a world famous dish which exists in different names and forms around the world.

United States

American Stuffed peppers is an American cuisine dish which consists of cooked green bell peppers filled with meat, typically beef, along with breadcrumbs, egg, herbs or spices, especially paprika and parsley, and cheese. Recipes vary, but often includes the following: first removing the seeds, boiling the peppers, stuffing them, covering with the cheese, and baking the combined foodstuff. A sauce may be served with them, most commonly a tomato sauce, but this, too, varies greatly.

Bosnia, Croatia, Serbia, Bulgaria

Punjena paprika (Croatian for "stuffed peppers") or Pulnena piperka (Bulgarian) is a East-European dish consisting of paprika or peppers filled with minced meat and rice, most popular in the Zagorje region (influenced by Hungarian cuisine.) The meat, usually ground beef, is mixed with herbs, spices and rice. There are many variations of the dish across the Balkans.

Mediterranean

* Yemista is part of the Greek cuisine and consists of baked stuffed vegetables. Usually tomatoes, peppers, or other vegetables hollowed out and baked with a rice and herb filling.
* Dolma is a family of stuffed vegetable dishes which consists of stuffed peppers or grape leaves.Dolma cames from the in the cuisines of the former Ottoman Empire and surrounding regions, including Turkey, Albania, Azerbaijan, Armenia, the Middle East, the Balkans, Greece, and Central Asia

Mexico

The Mexican cuisine has more than one stuffed pepper dish:

* The Chile relleno, literally "stuffed pepper", consists of a roasted green Pasilla or poblano chile pepper stuffed with cheese (traditionally queso fresco), and/or (rarely) minced meat, covered in an egg batter, and fried. It is often served covered with a sauce, although the type of sauce varies widely. It is sometimes also served in a taco with rice, salsa and other toppings.
* Jalapeño poppers are jalapeño peppers that have been hollowed out, stuffed with a mixture of cheese, spices, and sometimes ground meat, and then deep fried.
* The Poblano is a mild chile pepper, just slightly spicier than a bell pepper.

Middle East

* Filfil Mahshi is a dish from the Arab cuisine which consists of stuffed green peppers which also belongs to a family of stuffed vegetable dishes in the Arab cuisine which consists of stuffed peppers or stuffed zucchini or stuffed eggplant.
* Mansaf or Mensauf from the Arab cuisine.Mahshi: An Egyptian and Sudanese dish which is either spiced meat stuffed in green, yellow, or red peppers, or in tomatoes

Romania

Ardei umpluţi (IPA2|ar.'dej um.'pluʦʲ) in Romanian for "stuffed peppers". Are usually prepared with bell peppers, stuffed with ground meat, usually pork, rice, onion and other vegetables and spices, boiled in a sauce made from cream, tomatoes and spices.
