Cheyne Magnusson is a professional surfer and one of the stars of MTV's reality show Maui Fever.

He was born in Southern California and moved to Hawaii with his family at the age of seven.[1] His father, Tony Magnusson, is a professional skateboarder.[2] According to Cheyne's mother Jill, "Cheyne could ride a skateboard before he could walk."[3]

At the age of 16, Cheyne was the surfing Men's Hawaiian State Champion for 2000. In June of that year he represented the state of Hawaii in Brazil at the world championships, which is the highest honor any amateur surfer can receive.[3] By the age of 22, Cheyne was surfing professionally, with sponsorships from Body Glove, Osiris shoes, Dragon and Borst Surfboards.[4]
