Retrieved 19 July, 2008.] was the most prominent wife of King Faisal of Saudi Arabia. Although a descendent of the royal family of Saudi Arabia, the Al Saud, she had been born and raised in Turkey before her marriage to Faisal in 1932. Her ancestors had been taken to Turkey as prisoners following the collapse of the First Saudi State.

Effat was the mother of Prince Mohammed bin Faisal, Saudi Foreign Minister Prince Saud bin Faisal, Prince Saad bin Faisal, and former Saudi intelligence chief and ambassador Prince Turki bin Faisal."
