Of this, BBNC's land entitlement under ANCSA includes 101,500 acres (411 km²) of surface estate and 2,716,000 acres (10,990 km²) subsurface estate.Alaska Governor and Vice-Presidential nominee Sarah Palin disclosed her finances in 2007, reporting at least $5,000 worth of dividends in BBNC for the 2006 calendar year.

Under federal law, Bristol Bay Native Corporation and its majority-owned subsidiaries, joint ventures and partnerships are deemed to be "minority and economically disadvantaged business enterprise [s] " (43 USC 1626(e)).
