Sir Norton Knatchbull, 1st Baronet

Sir Norton Knatchbull, 1st Baronet (c. 1602 – 5 February 1685) was an English politician.

The son of Thomas Knatchbull and Eleanor Astley, he was born in Mersham Hatch in Kent. Knatchbull was Member of Parliament (MP) for Kent in from April to May 1640. He was further Member of Parliament for New Romney from 1640 to 1648, and from 1660 to 1679. On 4 August 1641, he was created a Baronet, of Mersham Hatch in the County of Kent. Knatchbull was also buried in Mersham Hatch.

On 22 October 1630, he married firstly Dorothy Westrow and on 27 November 1662 secondly Dorothy Honywood, daughter of Sir Robert Honywood in St Martin-in-the-Fields Church in London. He had three sons, including John Knatchbull and Thomas Knatchbull as well as eleven other children by his first wife.
