Matt Coffin

Matt Coffin is a Los Angeles-based internet entrepreneur and investor. He was the President and Founder of LowerMyBills.com, which was sold to Experian in 2005 for $330 million.[1] In addition to LowerMyBills.com, he was President of Experian Online Customer Acquisition Services and President of the incubator-like Experian Interactive Innovation Center. Matt was an Ernst and Young Entrepreneur of Year award winner in 2007 and was Southern California Entrepreneur of the Year in 2006.

Mr. Coffin also sat on the Board of Directors for Business.com,[2] which was started by incubator eCompanies, whose venture arm was an early investor in LowerMyBills.com. He is an early investor in human powered search engine Mahalo.com, Demand Media, Rubicon Project, Docstoc, MarketProbability, and eBureau. Coffin also invested in both Buscape (which was sold in October 2009 for $330M)[3] and HauteLook, which was sold to Nordstrom in February 2011 for $270M.[4] Other investments include GraphEffect, Impact Radius, Machinima, ThisWeekIn, CyberRain, Unsubscribe.com, InAdco, ShoeDazzle, Goldstar, Ecomom.com, Deal Quad, HMRN, ClientRadius, Stance, and Quant The News.[5][6][7][8][9][10] Matt Coffin currently sits on the Board of Directors for eBureau, Machinima, and Mahalo[disambiguation needed ].[11][12][13][14] In March 2010, he and Doug Hirsch founded dailyD which later changed its name to FamilyFinds. Mr. Coffin is CEO of FamilyFinds, an online daily promotions site exclusively focused on services and experiences for families, and raised $5.75M in funding from Split Rock[disambiguation needed ] Partners for its launch in 2010.[15]
