Centennial High School is a public secondary school located in Las Vegas, Nevada. The school serves about 2800 students in grades 9 to 12 in the Clark County School District.

General information

Centennial High School is known as home of the Bulldogs. The school was opened in 1999. The mascot is the Bulldog, and originally the school owned a real life mascot name Blu. The school colors are Carolina blue, navy blue and white.

In 2000, the movie "Pay It Forward" was filmed at Centennial High. In 2007, the Centennial High School Naval Junior Reserve Officers' Training Corps (NJROTC) unit was rated the most outstanding in the nation by The Navy League. Coach Martinez is the pitching coach for Centennial High School Baseball team, he is also a computer teacher.

[ [http://www.acdaonline.org/conventions/2007/2007cs.shtml ACDA Conventions ] ] In 2007 under the direction of Alan Zabriskie the Centennial High School Chamber Singers were honored to sing at the 2007 American Choral Directors Association National Convention in Miami, Florida. This made Centennial only the second school to be invited to this prestigious event in the state of Nevada. The Green Valley High School Madrigals were invited to the 2005 convention in Los Angeles, California.
