Vigo is a modern rural village built in the mid-20th century in Kent, England. The village lies at the top of the North Downs, east of the road between Gravesend and Wrotham. Its name comes from the public house situated on the main road, which in turn commemorates the sea battle during the War of the Spanish Succession (Battle of Vigo Bay).

There is one primary school in Vigo; [http://www.vigo.kent.sch.uk/ Vigo Village Primary School] . The current headteacher is R. Barber. The school boasts many clubs and activities including: recorders, choir, football, netball, chess, country dancing and drama.

The village of Vigo was built on the site of a disused Second World War army camp, relics of which are still unearthed in residents' gardens. The village itself is situated in the middle of a chestnut woodland alongside [http://www.kentdowns.org.uk/map_details.asp?siteID=52 Trosley Country Park] which forms part of the North Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
