Georg Rosen (21 September 1821 in
Detmold – 29 October 1891 in Detmold) was a German (Prussian)Orientalist , brother ofFriedrich August Rosen , father ofFritz Rosen . He studied inBerlin andLeipzig . From 1844, he was adragoman at thePrussia n embassy inConstantinople , from 1853 Prussian ambassador inJerusalem , and from 1867 Great Consul of theNorth German Confederation , from 1871 of theGerman Empire , inBeograd . In 1875, Rosen returned to Detmold.Rosen was acquainted with
