Anna David (born June 6, 1970) is a journalist specializing in relationship and sex advice.

Career

Anna has been on staff at "Premiere" and "Parenting", was a fulltime freelancer at "People", had a contract with "Us Weekly", and wrote a sex and relationship column for "Razor". She’s done investigative pieces on crystal meth use among film executives and high-class prostitution in Hollywood for "Details", prompting Liz Smith to praise her for “carving out a niche uncovering the seedy side of deluxe living.”

In addition to her first-person sex stories for "Playboy" (one of which inspired "Better Luck Next Town", a reality show pilot about moving to another city to date, which she produced along with "Top Model" executive producer Ken Mok for TBS), Anna has done celebrity cover stories, first-person essays, and reported pieces for "The Los Angeles Times, Vanity Fair, Cosmo, Redbook, Self, Details, Stuff, TV Guide, Women’s Health, Ocean Drive, Vegas, The Saturday Telegraph, Esquire UK, Teen Vogue, Variety, The New York Post, LA Confidential, Distinction, Calabasas, Tatler (Hong Kong), King, Fade In, Emmy" and "Maxim", among others. She’s been written about in Page Six, Lloyd Grove, and "The Marin Independent Journal", and has been quoted in magazines like "Life and Style" and "Glamour".

Television and radio

Twice a week, Anna answers viewers’ sex and relationship questions on the “In Your Pants” segment of G4's "Attack of the Show", and she regularly appears on "The Today Show" as a pop culture expert and "Reality Remix" (Fox’s Reality Network) as a relationship commentator. She’s also been on "Red Eye with Greg Gutfeld", "The Best Damn Sports Show Period" (Fox), "The Most" (MSNBC), "The Other Half" (NBC), "Cold Pizza" (ESPN), "The Modern Girl’s Guide to Life" (Style Network), "Queer Edge" (Q Network), CNN, E!, VH1, and "Hannity & Colmes" (Fox News), usually either talking about sex, doling out relationship advice, or discussing celebrities' personal lives. She does the same thing on the radio for national shows on Fox, ABC, XM and Sirius, among others.

Literature

One of Anna's essays appeared in the Dutton anthology "Girls Who Like Boys Who Like Boys" (came out in 2007) and her first novel, "Party Girl", was released in May, 2007. "Party Girl" was released in paperback on May 28, 2008.

Personal life

Anna publicly identifies as a recovering alcoholic, and has appeared on television on several occasions discussing the topic of alcoholism. In addition, her novel "Party Girl" addresses this subject.
