Grover Cleveland High School is a large, comprehensive high school in Ridgewood, Queens.

Academics

The Mathematics Department

The Mathematics Department has developed its own Saturday Mathematics Program for academic intervention. Besides Math A and Math B, the Mathematics Department also offers Intermediate Algebra, Trigonometry, Pre-Calculus, Advanced Placement Calculus AB and BC, and Advanced Placement Statistics.

The Science Department

After student has mastered the basic state requirements, he or she may enroll in electives and advanced placement courses. The GCHS Science staff focuses on environmental sciences.

The Communication Arts department

Eight credits of English are required for graduation, and each student must pass the NYS English Regent with a score of 65 or better in order to graduate.

The Social Studies Department

Students who are entering high school will be given Global Studies I during the Fall semester and Global Studies II during the Spring semester.

The Bilingual and English as a Second Language department

The Bilingual and English as a Second Language department is geared towards limited English proficient students.

The Art Department

The art department provides a creative environment in which students can develop their technical skills, conceptual thinking, visual awareness and creativity.And students learn the ability to produce unique styles of art in there own way.
