Ooruku Nooruper (sometimes Oorukku Nooruper; A Hundred Voices for a Cause) is a 2001 Tamil film by Bhimsingh Lenin, based on a 1976 novel by Jayakanthan. Its story follows Balan (Kaushik), a young artist who becomes disillusioned by the current political situation of his society. He joins the revolutionary organization Ooruku Nooruper, accidentally kills a priest and is sentenced to death. The film examines various issues related to capital punishment.

The film was well-received and, at the 49th National Film Festival in 2002, won awards including Best Direction and Best Feature Film in Tamil.[1]
