Fictional character biography

Brainchild was once a Swamp Man of the Savage Land, a tropical preserve hidden in Antarctica. He became one of the Savage Land Mutates, changed by Magneto to give him unusually high intelligence, although he at least formerly only had the emotional level of a child. Brainchild was one of Magneto's first Savage Land Mutates, and has been involved in all the Mutates' subsequent activities.

Powers and abilities

Brainchild’s superhuman intelligence and computer-like mind enable him to make scientific and mathematical calculations with the speed and accuracy of a highly advanced computer.

Other versions

Brainchild appears in a two-part "What If?" story: #46 (February 1993) - 'What If... Cable Had Destroyed The X-Men?' and #47 (March 1993) - 'What If... Magneto Took Over The USA?'
