video game character who debuted as the lead character in the vgy|1997fighting game "Street Fighter III ". In addition to his appearance in the original "Street Fighter III" (as well as "2nd Impact" and "3rd Strike"), Alex also appears in the fighting games "Capcom Fighting Jam " and the forthcoming "". Alex is a blond-haired brawler fromManhattan who wears green overalls as pants (straps down) and combat boots, green fighting gloves, and a red headband.Story
In the original "Street Fighter III" and "2nd Impact", Alex enters the third World Warrior tournament to avenge his friend Tom, who was seriously injured during a street fight against the tournament's sponsor, Gill. In his ending, Alex defeats Gill and returns home to be greeted by a recovering Tom and his daughter Patricia. In his ending in "3rd Strike", he cancels his camping trip with Tom and Patricia in order to seek out and challenge Ryu to a match.
Gameplay
His Special Moves in the original "Street Fighter III" includes grappling and striking techniques such as the Flash Chop, the Power Bomb, the Air Knee Smash and the Air Stampede. He also acquires the Slash Elbow in "2nd Impact" and the Spiral DDT in "3rd Strike" His Super Arts in the "Street Fighter III" games includes the Hyper Bomb, the Boomerang Raid and the Stun Gun Headbutt. Alex is considered a "hybrid-grappler" by players, a character who can be employed for striking attacks as well as utilizing dangerous throwing moves. Alex can also put his foe into a "back turn" status; this is achieved by landing a fierce Flash Chop close to an opponent. From this, Alex has two throws, and one new super move (the Hyper Backdrop, appearing in "2nd Impact", the player must select Hyper Bomb as their super) which can only be performed on a back-turned opponent.
