Football, Baseball, Basketball, Soccer, Tennis, Golf, and Track & Field. Sports are part of everyone's life here in the George County School District. The George County High School football team, led by Al Jones, has been district champs for the past three years. They were very successful in the 2007 season defeating Oak Grove for the South State Title. Also, this year (2008), The girls' duo tennis team (Dana Ivey and Arlette Cochran) competed in the state playoffs and came out victorious.
