Medal record Women's canoe sprint Olympic Games Silver 1972 Munich K-1 500 m World Championships Silver 1970 Copenhagen K-1 500 m Silver 1971 Belgrade K-1 500 m Marie ("Mieke") Jaapies (born August 7, 1943 in Wormerveer, Noord-Holland) is a Dutch sprint canoer who competed in the late 1960s and early 1970s. Competing in two Summer Olympics, she won a silver medal in the K-1 500 m event at Munich in 1972.
Jaapies also won two silver medals in the K-1 500 m event at the ICF Canoe Sprint World Championships, earning them in 1970 and 1971.
