"Xenophrys brachykolos" (common name:Short-legged horned toad; Synonym:"Megophrys minor brachykolos") is a native species in Hong Kong. It was first discovered in the Peak, Hong Kong. Distribution

It can be found in Lung Fu Shan Country Park. [http://www.hku.hk/ecology/porcupine/por34/34-vert4-lungfushan.htm#index4 Night safaris in Lung Fu Shan Country Park, Hong Kong] ] .The populations are restricted to Hong Kong; much of them are in the country parks in Hong Kong.There may be population in northeastern Vietnam [ [http://research.amnh.org/herpetology/amphibia/references.php?id=17555 Xenophrys brachykolos (Inger and Romer, 1961)] ,Amphibian Species of the World ] ; there are not information about them, however.One specimen was once collected in Fujian but there are no recent records.
