Leon Crouch

Leon Crouch

Leon Crouch (born 16 August 1949) is an English businessman. He was acting chairman of Southampton F.C. until he was removed by the Board in July 2007 following a long period of internal disputes with the executives of the company. Crouch proceeded to orchestrate the removal of the Executives who eventually resigned in December 2007 whereupon he was re-appointed as Chairman, and announced the board and PLC of Southampton F.C., had finally united to get Southampton to the Premiership. Mr Crouch was again forced to resign his position on the 15 May 2008 when major shareholders called an EGM requiring his removal. This followed a near disastrous period for the club under Crouch which almost culminated in the Club's relegation to League 1 on the final day of the 2007/8 season.
