Oriol Lozano Farrán, simply Oriol (born 23 May 1981 in Sudanell, Lleida, Catalonia), is a Spanish footballer who plays for Real Murcia in Segunda División, usually as a central defender.

Football career

During his early career, Oriol played with UE Lleida (twice), CD Onda (in the fourth level, loaned by Villarreal CF, who acted as Onda's first team) and CE L'Hospitalet.

In 2004–05, he was promoted from Racing de Santander's B-team, making his top level debut on September 19, 2004, in a 1–1 home draw to Villarreal. Oriol went on to become a relatively important defensive element for the Cantabrians in the subsequent four seasons, playing in a total of 75 matches (55 starts). On 17 March 2007, he scored his only official goal for the club, in a 2–0 win at Valencia CF.

Oriol played in 19 matches in the 2009–10 season, as Racing once again narrowly avoided relegation, after finishing 16th. He was sent off twice, one of them in the last minute of the side's 1–0 win at Sporting de Gijón. In June 2010, the 29-year old did not see his contract renewed and moved to Greece with Aris Thessaloniki FC.^[1]
